You know the story of Halcyon?
Halcyon used to be a queen among gods but her profound love for a human, turned her into a bird, that had to lay eggs, on a nest, in the middle of the waves, in the deep, vast, ocean…
During the days she laid her eggs, she would sing and the wind would calm down…The waves would be smooth and soft just like lullabies…harboring a great storm in the end.
Just like these Halcyon days are our moments of total bliss, short lived peace in the middle of a harsh winter we call life…
Oh, how we cherish those calm waves, simply going from a day to the other, without having to do a single thing besides laughing and drinking and kissing and stealing one more Halcyon day to ourselves…
Reality hits back, Halcyon stops the song and the wind starts the dance…destroying every boat you built, burning your bridges, wiping it all to the shore…
Leaving nothing at bay…except of the eggs…
